notification separation

We have different email notification timing that we would like to set up for internal teams vs status page subscribers. we currently have 2 identical sets of checks for every application to separate this. Even then, the checks for the status page subscriber notifications doesn’t have the time we would like to wait before sending so we have to finagle the checks to bend them to our will. can you combine checks to have separate delivery options and flexible timing for notifications and statuses instead of one per check.
